He graduated in architecture in 1982 from the <strong>University of Ljubljana<\/strong> (SLO) with a thesis on the typology and identity of the village of Slapnicco <em>(\u201cTipologija in Identiteta Slapnika\u201d) <\/em>which received the <em>\u201cPreseren Students Prize\u201d<\/em> award.<br \/>From 1983 to 1992 he collaborated with <strong>arch. Federico Marconi<\/strong> in Udine and<strong> arch. Pier <\/strong><strong>Guido Fagnoni<\/strong> in Firenze, as well as completing a <strong>degree at the Faculty of Architecture in <\/strong><strong>Venice.<\/strong><br \/>In <strong>1990<\/strong> he started his own architecture <strong>firm in Udine<\/strong> and began working as a freelancer.<br \/>He continued his studies at the <strong>University of Ljubljana<\/strong> obtaining his PhD in 2000 where he later became <strong>assistant professor<\/strong> in 2005 and <strong>associate professor<\/strong> in 2016.<br \/>From 2008 to 2016 he was a lecturer at the <strong>Faculty of Architecture in Maribor<\/strong> holding the design chairs of \u201cstudio 1\u201d (second year) and \u201csmart\u201d (last year).<br \/>Since 2016 he is <strong>Associate Professor at the Faculty of Architecture of Ljubljana<\/strong> holding the chairs of &#8220;interior design&#8221; &#8220;facade technology&#8221; and architectural composition as a &#8220;referent&#8221; of the design seminar.<br \/>He has participated in <strong>national and international design workshops<\/strong> and <strong>lectured<\/strong> at the universities of Milan, Trento, Ljubljana, Trieste, Venice, London.<br \/>With the university he develops new urban projects that seek high residential, spatial and emotional quality.<br \/>In 2015 he was invited by the architect <strong>Elviro di Meo<\/strong> to <em>&#8220;Manifesto. Architecture in 10 points&#8221;<\/em>, organized by the Order of Architects of Caserta, where, with other nine selected Italian architects, received the task of rewriting the ten points of architecture. He participated by developing the theme &#8220;pre-existing&#8221;.<br \/>His projects have been exhibited in Berlin, Madrid, Prague, Milan, Ljubljana, Pirano, Celovec, Eisenstadt, Udine, Trento, Treviso, San Vito al Tagliamento, Oderzo, Ferrara, Pescara, etc. and are reviewed in national and international books and magazines.<br \/>In 2007 the monograph <em>&#8220;Alessio Princic Architect&#8221;<\/em> was published in the <em>&#8220;generazione di <\/em><em>mezzo&#8221;<\/em> series edited by architect Paolo Vocialta.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Biography Alessio Princic Architect Alessio Princic was born in Udine on March 9th, 1958.
